Justin C. Crane Memorial Scholarship

Family and friends of Justin C. Crane have established a scholarship in his memory. Justin was a 1993 graduate of South St. Paul High School who excelled both academically and athletically. He went on to major in business at the University of Minnesota-Duluth where he was a standout on the Bulldog football team. Justin was a beloved friend to many, and he left a lasting impact on those who had the pleasure of knowing him and working with him. This scholarship is awarded to a Packer football player who is a success and a leader on the field and in the classroom.

Justin passed away from Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) on October 30, 2012 at the age of 37. He lived a wonderful life and touched many people during his short life. Everyone should take a note from him and live life to the fullest, cherish your loved ones and remember what is important.

One of Justin’s more popular nicknames was, “Jutty” and Jutty’s Buddies is the name of the committee of friends and family behind the Justin C. Crane Memorial Scholarship. Jutty’s Buddies organize the annual bowling and golf events, as well as participation in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk. We believe Justin was an incredible human and are honored to be involved in something that positively impacts the community Justin grew up in, and keeps his memory alive for his children and others who knew and loved him.
